Knowledge and experience sharing is critical to accelerating the practice and adoption of modern supply chain management by enterprises. In this respect, GS1 Hong Kong carries out a host of active programs throughout the year targeting a wide range of vertical industries and serving their diverse supply chain needs.
Both knowledge and technology are integral to achieving global supply chain excellence. To ensure business leaders and supply chain professionals to stay competitive in the global marketplace, GS1 Hong Kong has been consistently dedicating its efforts to share knowledge and experience on supply chain strategies, technologies and best practices with enterprises in Hong Kong and the PRD region through technical training workshops, industry-focused seminars, regional conferences and study tours, as well as participating in international exhibitions and forums.
Established in April 2013, the Hong Kong Internet of Things Centre of Excellence is hosted by GS1 Hong Kong with the support from the Innovation and Technology Commission of the HKSAR Government and the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation. The Centre is divided into five thematic zones with 40+ IoT applications– Manufacturing, Logistics, Healthcare, Retail and Smart City. The displays and applications demonstrated in each zone area showcases the versatility of Internet of Things (IoT)-related technologies in that particular area, allowing visitors “TOUCH & FEEL” and “SEE & BELIEVE” the power of IoT and how the innovative IoT applications make Smarter Business Better Life.
Pioneer in administering global standards for Supply Chain Management (SCM) and facilitating its implementation, GS1 Hong Kong’s Supply Chain Management Knowledge Center was established in 1994 to help Hong Kong business professionals, executives, academicians, research analysts and members sharpen their knowledge skills and master the latest SCM best practices and technologies to empower their competitive business efficiency. The center provides a self-learning tool and cutting-edge knowledge transfer for local enterprises forward-looking to business leaders.
